Fundraising & Awareness Events

Thank you for your interest in being involved with The Jason Foundation (JFI). There are different opportunities for the various JFI office locations.

The most important way you can help in our mission is by advancing awareness of the problem and prevention of youth suicide.

Of course there are always ways you can get involved, or have your friends, family, and co-workers involved.

Jason's Friends

Jason’s Friends are those who have committed to helping keep Jason’s story alive.  One of the core principles of The Jason Foundation is our “no-charge” policy, which assures that lack of funding will never decide who receives our life-changing/life-saving resources. Jason’s Friends help us provide our programs and services to schools, churches, and communities nationwide without charging.

If you have not joined Jason’s Friends, you can do so today!

Create a Birthday Fundraiser

Birthdays are a time for celebration, but they can also be a chance to make an impact.  If you are celebrating this year and looking for a meaningful way to give back, consider supporting The Jason Foundation. You can celebrate by making a donation for your birthday or for someone special in your life, or you might want to start your very own birthday fundraiser page. Your donations will help us raise awareness and provide resources for youth and young adults suicide prevention. Together, we can bring hope to young people’s lives.

Make a Donation in Memory of Honor of Someone

A charitable donation or creating a page in someone’s name is a thoughtful way to recognize or celebrate a person.  All tribute gifts allow you to express appreciation, honor a loved one’s memory or in lieu of flowers while supporting a cause like The Jason Foundation.

There are two options for donating to The Jason Foundation:

  • Make a memorial or honor donation online: Dedicate a gift to The Jason Foundation in the name of someone. A tribute card can be emailed or mailed in recognition of the contribution.
  • Create a memorial or honorable fundraiser page: Honor someone by starting a memorial fundraiser and encouraging gifts to The Jason Foundation.

Jason Foundation Reflection Garden

The Jason Foundation is looking to take full advantage of our beautiful campus in Hendersonville, TN.

For this reason, JFI has decided to create a Reflection Garden centered around the gazebo that was built on our property as part of an Eagle Scout Project. This will be a place of peace and reflection for community members, those who have lost a loved one, and advocates of suicide prevention.

As part of this program, we are offering the community at large the opportunity to be part of this special place. By participating in this program, you will help fund the new project located on our property and have recognition of your involvement. Engraved bricks are available to be purchased and will become a focal point of The Jason Foundation’s Reflection Garden. These bricks are often used to honor a loved one lost to suicide (In Memory Of) or an organization with a passion for prevention. Visit the link below for more information and to order you brick.

The 2025 Annual Phillip Fulmer & Chuck McDowell Golf Classic

This golf classic is an annual event and The Jason Foundation’s only annual fundraiser. This golf tournament usually brings approximately 325 supporters including golfers, sponsors and volunteers.

Phillip Fulmer has maintained his role as National Spokesperson for The Jason Foundation since 1998 while Head Football Coach at the University of Tennessee. This year’s tournament will mark the 27th year of Coach Fulmer hosting the tournament, which he has done every single year of its existence.

Chuck McDowell is the owner and CEO of Wesley Financial Group and Medical House Calls, both based in Middle Tennessee. He is an entrepreneur who has spent the greater part of his career focused on providing services that have positively impacted tens of thousands of families.

The 2025 Tournament was held on Tuesday, September 16, at the Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tenn. All participants enjoy eighteen holes of golf and exciting gifts on premier golf venues. The day concludes with dinner and an award ceremony.
